The Performance Series 2 (Kuching)

This is the 2nd of 3 event for The Performance Series (TPS), and I was lucky to get another free slot from the organiser. Held in Kuching, I made another 2 consecutive monthly trip to this Meow City just for running event after KUMAR in mid-August. This time I was travelling with Mo Habib, with a mission - 21km sub 1:45. BUT: Mission Failed! Finished with 2:05. Still a good result though and overall I think it's a good event. I am looking forward to the 3rd TPS in Setia Alam in Nevmber 2017 to complete the series.

AR got three free slots from TPS, similar from the first TPS in Penang. Quickly I booked one and another booked by Habib. The otherfree slot were given to a celebrity runner, but he could not make it at the very last minute. Well, things happened sometimes. So we proceeded with duo-travelling. Took early flight and reached KCH ard 9am. Later on we went direct to REPC at the M Hotel, and its very quite. May be we were too early or most of them have taken theirs. So it was a quick one, and option available for shopping - Compression gears and some gel, slat stick, etc available. The REPC venue is within walking distance to the MBKS (Majlis Bandaraya Kuching Selatan.

Its still early when we finished REPC and reached the Riverside Suites, and lucky enough that they allow us for early check-in. The hotel is near the waterfront area, which is about 2 km from the event site. Not a very good choice as it was about 25 minutes walking distance (Uber surely a better choice at around RM4.) Lesson learned, for the next trip to Kuching MUST choose the accomodation properly - so many choices actually from the very old Hilton to newer Pullman, and even got backpackers choices. But we got it as a package with flight and accomodation from AAGO. Quite a decent Hotel, but we got a no-window-room!!. Sighhhh.

Settled down, a quick refreshing its carbo loading time, and again it's RJ Ayam Bakar. First time for Mo Habib, and again it's not a dissapointing one.

Evening - we decided to jog to the event site just to familiarised with the area, while stretching and warming up ourself as part of preparation for the race. Eventually we jog for about 8km, which is a bit of a mistake, it was too long prior to the event FO in less than 12 hours.
